Our report typically provides the moisture content readings of whatever substrate your floor is installed over. We also take measurements of the space’s ambient conditions (temperature / relative humidity). We also inspect for adequate expansion space on floating floor installs. All information will be compared to the manufacturer’s installation instructions and industry standards.

Engineered / Solid Wood Products
A routine inspection will provide the moisture content readings of the wood floor and the wooden substrate it is attached to. Data is also compiled about your facility's relative humidity and temperature. The nailing patterns will also be examined to determine if your floor was properly nailed, has adequate expansion space, and if your flooring was properly acclimated to in-use conditions. The area is analyzed for gaps, swelling, water damage, board movement, noises, buckling, delaminating, unevenness, splintered edges, cupping, splits, and scratches, as well as noting the overall conditions of your hardwood floor.

Upon completing your inspection, you will be provided with a written report listing all pertinent information about the floor and its history. The report will compare and reference manufacturer’s instructions and industry standards citations that many involved in the process aren’t even aware of. The report will also contain photographic images of the affected flooring as well as microscopic images if necessary.

Laminate Flooring
Our typical inspection report will provide the moisture content readings of the laminate floor and whatever substrate it is installed over. We also take readings of the area's relative humidity. We inspect for adequate expansion space. Signs like excessive gapping, cupping, crowning, buckling, splitting, cracking, swelling, lifting, and scratching are common indicators of a laminate floor in distress and require replacement. All information will be compared to the manufacturer's installation instructions and industry standards.

Carpet
With a completed carpet inspection, we will provide you with a written report listing all pertinent information about your carpet concerns. This report will have manufacturer's instructions and industry standards citations that many of who were involved in the process aren't even aware of. The report will also contain photographic images of the affected carpet as well as microscopic images if necessary.
